Koufonisi is situated in the Libyan Sea, 10 nautical miles south east of Makry Gialos.  Translated as Hollow Island, the name derives from the caves and caverns formed by the seawater and the rain on its soft rock formations. Koufonisi has no less than 36 stunning fine white sand beaches and clear emerald waters. It is home to many species of migratory birds and has been classified as a wildlife refuge and included in the European initiative Natura 2000 due to its incredible natural beauty and important ecosystem.

Whilst you are there you will see the white rocks against the backdrop of the endless blue Libyan Sea and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.  The landscape will dazzle you, changing from steep rocky shorelines to caves with white and yellow rocks and unearthly dunes.

Your pirate ship will anchor off the coast of the island, giving you the chance to visit the island and swim in the crystal clear waters. There are refreshments on board throughout the trip and children can enjoy games and entertainment on the ship’s open decks.
