Dining for all tastes and styles
The taverna owners here are welcoming hosts and appreciate your custom. You will often receive a small treat such as a drink or bowl of Greek yoghurt as a mark of appreciation. Makry Gialos is popular and bustling but never overly crowded so dining is always a relaxed and enjoyable experience. If you’re visiting during one of the special religious feast days, you can join one of the vast family tables and mingle with young and old villagers for a truly unique experience, taking in the wonderful, communal atmosphere.
There are music bars where local artists entertain and you can always get a late drink before heading up the hill from the beach. There’s another stretch of restaurants before you get back to the resort offering further options for dining and you can even order a tasty takeaway to be delivered direct to your roof terrace or balcony.
Threre’s plenty of places to eat here and you can choose a different restaurant every night of your stay. If you’re looking for recommendations, the Lagada Resort management team will be able to advise you on the best places to visit both inside and outside the village if you fancy straying further afield.
